ZZ HOT is a UK-based ZZ Top tribute act. We’re not as good as the real ZZ Top because they are probably the coolest guitar boogie rock outfit on the planet ever. It’s impossible to see them and not have a good time. The charisma, humour, talent and style just pour off the stage and the audience love it. While not the ‘cleverest’ of bands - although the songs are deceptively tricky to learn - they have somehow taken the sound of a guitar, bass, drums and vocals and infused them with whisky, hot rods, motorcycles, sex and Mexican food. They carry this atmosphere around with them wherever they go and turn every venue into an ‘off the wall cantina’ from ‘ south of the border’. Then they tear it up. We try to do the same but we’re only mortal. Perhaps if we had another 40 years to practice we could be as good but I doubt it. I’ve never seen another band do it like ZZ Top. Anyway there are some good reasons for booking us and not ZZ Top - 1 You can’t afford the real thing 2 They wouldn’t come anyway 3 You wouldn’t be able to fit everyone in 4 We’re actually pretty good really 5 If necessary we can be our own support band so you get a set of rock covers by all your favourite artists followed by a set of ZZ Top all for the price of a regular band 6 We’re reliable, have lots of good modern kit and we’re nice people 7 We really do wear the silly beards, hats and sunglasses You can see us in action by by going here Phone 01536 501843 or email zzhot@live.co.uk
